Waterline ~ Timeline

 













 

Artists reflect upon the waterline ~ contemplate the timeline.
Simcoe Watershed Art Project/Artists Afloat and the Orillia Museum of Art and History
present an exhibition of works created by artists within the Lake Simcoe and Couchiching watersheds and beyond.

Simcoe Watershed Art Project/Artists Afloat invites you to participate in a juried exhibition at the Orillia Museum of Art and History, May 14 to June 30. 2012.
Please submit up to two works in any medium that reference the historic, social, geographic, and/or economic development of Lakes Simcoe and Couchiching watersheds, marking significant place and time within an environmental context.

Deadline for Entries is April 5, 2012

Simcoe Watershed Art Project/Artists Afloat involves regional artists within the Lake Simcoe and Couchiching watersheds in the expression and documentation of the unique aspects of this ecosystem, culturally, environmentally and aesthetically through exhibitions and events.

@ The 2011 Splash Festival

We had a great time...printmaking by the beach, kid's creating shadowboxes with an environmental theme... Tim Laurin leading the way with his unique lawn roller printmaking techniques. We like to extend our thanks to The Ladies of the Lake for their sponsorship, Emma Clark for the terrific job of silkscreen the t-shirts, as well as, the steering committee artists and friends: Tim Laurin, Jerry, Karen Wild, Mary Cellucci, Carol Deimling, Jennie Clark, and Jeanette Luchese for donating their art for this event. Carol and Karen did a fabulous job of instructing the workshops, wonderful art was created by all that came by. A special thank you to Ken Clark for helping with the set-up and take down. It was a great success!!

Youth Lawn Roller Art Creation and Display: Internationally exhibited Printmaker, Tim Laurin leads the way in this fun creative process of wood block printmaking with a lawn roller: Assistants: Jennie Clark, Jeanette Luchese, and others.
