“Simcoe Water Shed Art Project ” is a visual arts project, with an environmental theme, created to involve the regional arts communities, within the Lake Simcoe watershed, in the expression and documentation of the cultural diversity, beauty and fragility of Lakes Simcoe and Couchiching.
Designed to promote environmental stewardship and awareness, this project will engage regional artists in an educational and meaningful art experience and generate stimulating contemporary regional art exhibitions. Beyond these goals, we will facilitate the development of an educational outreach programme that engages young people in contemporary and traditional creative activities that reflect environmental concerns.
